Major Mediums Included

Watercolor Painting

Watercolor painting is a technique where pigments are suspended in a water-based solution. The result is a transparent and luminous artwork characterized by its fluidity and blending effects.

Color Pencils

Color pencils, also known as colored pencils, are art tools with a core of colored pigment encased in a wooden barrel. By layering and blending technique, one can create realistic artwork.

Pencil Shading

Pencil shading is a technique used to create variations in light and shadow in a drawing, giving it depth and dimension

Oil Pastels

Oil pastels, composed of non-drying oil and pigment, boast vibrant colors and a smooth texture. Unlike chalk pastels, they don't need fixatives and are versatile across various surfaces.

Acrylic Painting

Acrylic paint is a fast-drying paint made of pigment suspended in acrylic polymer emulsion. Acrylic paint can be diluted with water when wet and becomes water-resistant when dry.

Charcoal

Charcoal is made from burnt wood and comes in various forms, including vine charcoal, compressed charcoal, and charcoal pencils. Each type has its own characteristics and is suitable for different drawing techniques.

Soft Pastels

Soft pastels are sticks of pure pigment combined with minimal binder, creating a powdery and easily blendable medium. They come in a wide range of colors and are often used for creating expressive and colorful drawings.

Sculpturing

Clay sculpting is a form of art that involves manipulating and shaping clay to create three-dimensional objects or sculptures. It's a versatile and enjoyable medium that allows for both simple and intricate creations.

I am the parent of Srinivasan who is currently pursuing Diploma in Fine Arts with Junior Pencil and Chai and is in his second year. It has been an amazing journey for us and he has come a long way. This course has helped him to a great extent in taking his skills to higher levels from where he started. The course they offer is very structured, and rigourous and exposes the children to different mediums at the right pace.
His teacher Ms. Kavitha has played an integral part in his development by challenging him with lot of assignments on a variety of subjects which is rare to find. The warm and traditional atmosphere in the gurukul adds a unique touch. Attached is some of his artwork from the assignments completed.

Sounder RajanAn amazing journey

My daughter Priya Angeri has been a Junior Pencil And Chai student since 2019.
She has learned the basics, advanced to different mediums and now is part of a 2-year diploma in fine arts program.
I am thankful of finding this place in my neighbourhood where Kavita Jetti (as teacher) spends time with children and young adults to hone their skills with patience and dedication. Kavita has an eye to detail and method to learning from both syllabus and art topics which students can suggest.
Thank you Junior Pencil And Chai for your art-centric approach to everything you do.

Myself, Deekshaa Jaganath’s parent, I feel Junior Pencil and Chai course was a really inspiring journey to learn art in a fun way and getting professional at art. It motivated Deekshaa to get good in art and she was more determined to improve and perfect her drawing skills . Even teachers like Kavita madam and Anup sir helped, corrected and improved my daughter’s drawing and painting skills. JPC is a place where every child to be part of it, drawing is best skills for a child’s mental health improvement.
